A partnership between The Wilkinson Group, Forest City Enterprises and a group of prominent local builders (Forest City-New East Baltimore Partnership) is developing the first phase of this 80-acre mixed-use community, which is adjacent to the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University medical complex. At 31 acres, the first phase is a 10-year, $800 million redevelopment effort.

The Forest City-New East Baltimore Partnership team was selected by East Baltimore Development, Inc., a nonprofit organization charged with leading and managing the revitalization of East Baltimore.  Local partners include Doracon/Lambda Development, LLC; Legacy–Harrison Enterprises, LLC; Banks Contracting Co., Inc., and The Wilkinson Group, LLC, collectively known as Presidential Partners, LLC. With five research and office buildings planned, the new park will serve as an anchor where bioscience companies can draw on the resources of Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland, and nearby state and governmental research facilities. The first biotech building, 855 North Wolfe Street, will be anchored by the Institute of Basic Biomedical Sciences of the Hopkins School of Medicine.

The new housing to be built will include a range of affordable and market-rate units, both for-sale and rental.

The 31-acre site will include up to 1.1 million square feet of research and office space, 850 residential units, 50,000 square feet of retail amenities, and 3 acres of landscaped parks,

The New East Baltimore Community is directly adjacent to the campus of Johns Hopkins Medicine, about one mile north of the Inner Harbor and historic Fells Point.
